“I tried these lace effect nails after seeing a step by step in a magazine aaages ago, I think I may have gone a little OTT though?! and I reckon it came out looking more like paisley, which is a cool print too! I used models own nail varnish in ‘cool blue’ and models own white nail art pen. The burger was a Mcdonalds double cheeseburger, which I got at the drivethru after a 2hour drive back from my parents. I would usually only give it a 3/10, but I was so starving hungry that on this occasion ill give it 7/10 because it saved me from gnawing my steering wheel for 1.49!”
Thanks a lot 1989fizz, sorry about that Mcdonald’s burgergency!

“Taken in a bit of a hurry as I wanted to start eating ASAP :)
DIY nails using Barry M Greenberry, my new favourite in a gradient with 2mm silver square studs. The burger is from Harvester which is a chain in the UK. If I’m wanting a burger fix, I go there for this beef burger. 8oz burger with cheese, lettuce, mayo and ketchup. I’d give it a 7/10 as it’s nothing too fancy but it does the job.”
Thanks Poppingnails, I know that feeling of wanting to eat straight away, but getting the photo done first!

Thanks to Christine for this classic red on burger look. It’s meat-free Monday, read on!
“This is a homemade veggie burger using Kroger’s new Simply Truth veggie patty. I threw on some cojack cheese, spinach, tomato, pickles, relish, mustard and ketchup. I also sauteed some onions and green peppers and added those too! The bun is just a plain (but delicious!) white bun that I toasted. I give this a 9/10…so yummy!
On my nails I have 2 coats of Sally Hansen Salon Nail Lacquer in Hearts on Fire. On my accent nail is a coat of OPI Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It.”

“A bi-coastal submission for you. Manicure done at Pampered Hands on Melrose Avenue in LA. Dip glitter with Moon River on the ring fingers - all gel. More than a week old, if you can believe it. They always get an 11 out of 10 in my book. Fully worth the trip out West.
Burger is from Shake Shack - original location in Madison Park, NYC! Because I have had the pleasure of an In-and-Out Burger, Shake Shack can only ever get a 9 out of 10. But they NEVER disappoint, the fries are super yummy and I can get an Arnold Palmer. So maybe they do get the 10/10!”
Thanks so much Shephathiah for this super shiny look!

Two big names in the American nail blogging scene collaborated for this post today! Sent in from The Holy Nail! Thanks so much!
“Gel nail art by Hey, Nice Nails! of Long Beach, CA. The pointer finger is marbled to look like opal. The middle finger has a real turquoise stone accent. The burger was from Fred 62 in Los Feliz, CA. I think it’s called a Wimpy Burger. It’s pretty basic: lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar, and 1,000 island.<3Burger rank: 7.5/10”

“A friend whose gorgeous galaxy nails were featured here in August sent me a surprise care package with some great lacquer and encouraged me to submit a pic - Thanks to my nail muse Alissa!!
Nails are a DIY with Color Club in Shabby drab, with two coats of HARE Polish in Reverie in Rubellite on the ring fingers. Seche Vite top coat.
Burger is the Shiitake Mushroom Cashew Veggie Burger from Cafe Flore in San Francisco. It’s a really unique and yummy burger and it’s served with a focaccia bun. 9/10”

Kitsune Nails sends us this outrageously beautiful submission. Read on!
“I had just come second in a nail art competition with these. We had stopped off at a service station somewhere between Blackpool to Bristol, and the only place serving food was McDonald’s. My hand model had ordered a cheese burger, and had started eating when I remembered seeing this tumblr page! She had never heard of it, and thought I was rather odd taking pictures of her holding a half eaten burger!
I used a pink nail polish from Fearn Cottons range, and Nails Inc silver. I then painted it with a Rimmel Matt top coat, and used Collection 2000 Midnight Rouge on top. Then I added the dots, gems and glitter!
She seemed pretty happy with the burger. I had the same, and it was the first food we had for hours and we were starving! As food always tastes so much better when hungry, I would give the burgers a 7/10.”
