Wow folks! Today is a big one for me! One of my favourite performers I’d ever seen on stage has sent in a submission! Ali McGregor!! (Check her out if you don’t know who she is already!)
“I’m performing at Fringeworld in Perth, Australia (these are my ‘show’ nails) and the burger is from a stall in the Urban Orchard outside the beautiful Idolize Spiegeltent where I’m performing.
The stall is called Diablo’s Oven and I had the Wagyu burger with extra cornichons. It had lettuce, tomato, grated beetroot and ketchup. It was mega juicy and I give it an 8 (only leaving 2 so there is room for future burger perfection)
My nails are Chi Chi Va Va Voom red with Golden glitter decals that I bought from Urban Outfitters in London (I lost the packet).
I have been so excited about getting a burger so I could post on this Tumblr. I have a nail art blog (who doesn’t?)
Yay”
Yay indeed Ali! Thanks so much for submitting.

“Burger is from a Five Guys in Natick, Massachusetts, off of Route 9. Burger had lettuce, tomato, raw onions, ketchup/mustard. Ate it in the car right as they closed, with a big bag of fries (which were very good, possibly better than the burger). Overall, about a 7 out of 10.Nails were hand painted by me using a white MIGI nail pen on a dark blue (First Mate by China Glaze). I used a minty green (Re-Fresh Mint by China Glaze) for the leaves painted on with a paintbrush, as well as 2 pinks over the white petals: A dark pink by OPI and “Fiji”, a light pink by Essie.  These nails were my attempt at recreating Jess Mom’s nail art”
Thanks a lot whirlydoodle, love the impressionist look.

Here’s a friendly post from Gigi in Seattle that I’m repurposing as a Valentine’s post. Enjoy!
“I took my friend out for her birthday, Burgers-and-Nails style.
Nails were done by Century Nails in Seattle, WA. All polishes Opi. The magenta and wine colors didn’t have their names anymore. The light green on my first 3 fingers is Mermaids Tears. A solid mani at a good price.
Burgers from Uneeda Burger in Seattle. I had the Sonora - jack cheese, cilantro, roasted chili relish. Katie had the Crimini - crimini and porcini mushrooms, truffle salt, Gruyere, shallots. Both burgers got an 8/10, mainly because the bun wasn’t as fabulous as burger and toppings. I immediately regretted not adding carmelized onions too. All in all, delicious.”
Did any of you go out for burgers with some great valentine’s nails!? Send some pics over!

Thanks for your submission Esther! I can’t believe I haven’t had a burger at Bistrotheque yet! It has just bumped itself to the top of my burger hit list.

“I would like to nominate this burger as “The worst burger ever”.
I got it from the local supermarket,  2 for 1 dollar. So my expectations were NOT high. Still I was very disappointed. I would give this burger a 1/10. The 1 point is for the sesame seeds! Needless to say; I will not be buying this burger again, and no one actually ate the two we did buy.

Nail-it-baby, I commend you for even taking one bite! The good news is that your nails are not of the same poor quality. They look great!

“The burger is a cheeseburger from Byron on Charing Cross Road (corner with Cecil Court) in London, UK. Cooked medium. I would give it a 6.5.
Mani is DIY, I used OPI Nail Envy (original) as base coat, Rimmel Pro in Peppermint, Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Prickly Pear and some silver striping tape. Two coats of OPI RapiDry TopCoat to keep the tape down for as long as possible.”
Thanks a lot, Iaimtomisbehave! Really enjoying what the striping tape is adding to this look!

“A crazy juicy burger from Lucky Lupitas in South Australia, delicious medium rare beef, cheese, chipotle mayo and all the usual trimmings. Near perfection, a 9/10 for the brioche bun not standing up to the juices.
The nails are old faithful Snog by Butter London, with Butter’s Nail Foundation and Hardware topcoat, or as we like to say, Butter on Butter.”
Thanks for this burger (from a mexican restaurant!? only in Australia) SatisMouse!

Great shot mani—ac! But an inch of Philadelphia!? That’s really pushing it.
“Although the restaurant’s name will probably not sound familiar to American readers, I shall review this burger from a Spanish, but American-styled restaurant chain named Foster’s Hollywood.
I would give it a 7.5/10 for several reasons. When I ordered it, I wanted to try something new but I wasn’t expecting such a ridiculously thick layer of Philadelphia cream cheese (it measured about an inch, almost as thick as the meat patty!). In my opinion, such an amount of cheese took away protagonism from the caramelized onion, which was really good. Let me sound snobby and add that the bun was a bit greasy. The absence of pickles also made me cry a little bit in the inside.
Sporting Tory Burch SS13 inspired nails, done by myself.”
In other news. What’s happening to submissions? Is everyone sticking to their new year’s diet or something? Get out there and eat some burgers people! I want to see your beautiful nails and burgers.
