“I’ll start with the burger. Its from Epic Burger in Chicago. A turkey burger actually with aged Wisconsin cheddar and lettuce on a wheat bun. I was really craving it so for me it gets a 8/10, because I regret not getting bacon, but all in all delicious.
To the Nails! I did these nails myself. I got my hands on the Nails Inc. leather effect polish kit. I got really excited and painted all my with the black polish before I considered any nail art. After I did all this I thought a subtle ombre would be nice. I used Chanel’s malice and dabbed it on the end of my nails, and since my nails are finally long again I also painted the underside Louboutin style with the malice. I used Butter London’s nail foundation as my base coat and the leather effect polish recommended no top coat so I passed on that final step.”
Thanks gracieisracie in Chicago for this subtle ombre effect!

So this nail look I was pretty into, but everyone else I ran into hated it. I’ve debated sharing it, but I’m sure some people are into the ugly look too, right?
The base colour is an Australis unnamed green with American Apparel hunter dry-brushed on the tip. Then I used some plastic Topshop “gems” on the top of the nail.
However, the burger is KILLER! It’s from Honest Burger’s new Soho branch. This place sways in and out of my number one spot for burgers in London (generally depending on if I’m inside the restaurant or not). 10/10.

“I love this mani. It is an easy DIY using a thin coat of Milani’s “Good Morning Sunshine” underneath two coats of Sinful Color’s “All About You” to get that glittery gold. The leopard print design was just made with a regular white polish, and a black LA Colors Art Deco.
The burger is just a regular cheeseburger from Wendy’s in Brooklyn NY. I will give it a 2/10, because it had absolutely no flavor.”
Thanks Reese in Brooklyn! Shame about the cheeseburger, great nail look. I also really love this pose. This might be one of my favourite poses, as it looks like Reese is crushing this boring burger!

“So went to try out the new Honest Burgers branch in Soho for my friends birthday and as I was ordering the waitress looked at my nails and went “your nails are great have you heard about this blog? it’s the only reason why I work at a burger shop! you should make a post” and here I am :) had a beef cheese burger which was INCREDIBLE, easily my best favourite place to get a burger in London and not too expensive I give it 10/10. (aslo had a mulled cider with dark rum. YUM)
I have become a bit of a nail art geek in the past year or so but this design was more of a quick easy win. The burgundy colour one I bought in a shop in Colombia and the yellow was from American Apparel.”
Thanks a lot Sylvia! Emily at Honest Burgers definitely knows how to rep it Burgers and Nails style. Thanks to both of you. Great chevron submission!

Late in the day but just in time for this to be a proper first 2013 post!
Today I’m featuring the exceptionally talented Nancy McNails! I met Nancy almost exactly a year ago and finally got my nails over to see her at Stunt Dolly a new salon in Dalston featuring the Illustrated Nail.
Get yourself an appointment and get over there to check either of these two amazing nail artists out on a Friday or Saturday!
Nancy gave me this brilliant cartoon nail look which I fell in love with after seeing it on her blog. The burger is from Duke’s on Downham Rd in De Beauvoir on Christmas eve. 7/10.

“Steak and Shake doesn’t have the best burgers in Tampa, but it’s a decent standby when you’re in a hurry.  I had a single with bacon and double cheese 6.5/10.  They also send out weekly coupons, so the drink was free!
DIY manicure.  All the components were pilfered from my mother-in-law’s craft room.”
Thanks loads for this super blingy look Nailpopllc! Perfect for NYE! Happy last post of 2012 everyone!

Merry Christmas nailburgerlars! Here’s Zeitgeist4 with a holiday looking manicure on her WEDDING DAY! I love it! Burgers and nails for her wedding day! Amazing!
“A picture from my wedding day! I got married on December 11, 2012 at San Francisco City Hall. My DIY manicure was festive yet classy (I think) with Orly “Meet me Under the Mistletoe” as the main color, Zoya Jules on the accent nail, Zoya Sookie red berries, and Sally Hansen Jump Jade and Jumpin Jade for the holly leaves.
The burger was my first meal as a newlywed at Roam Artisan Burger in San Francisco. It’s called the French and Fries: Truffle Parmesan Fries, Gruyere, Avocado, Caramelized Onions, Watercress, Dijon Mustard. The Dijon was overpowering for my taste, so I give it a 7 out of 10. I’d try the Heritage if I went back again.”
With fries in the burger! Score!
